and  some dusty  memorabilia.
World Renowned Panasonic Inc. has committed

METRONOME, This  amazing architectural design and
building is not something that has been cooked  up
as some whimsical idea in the recent past.
No, It has a history that goes back 20 years.
In fact, the physical model of this complex structure
was displayed at Dalhousie University
and at The East Coast Music Awards in 1999.
The complete architectural plans, submitted by
 Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg Architects
Won the Canadian Architect Award of Excellence for design
and it was selected for exhibition at the
Union of International Architects conference in Barcelona, Spain.

Over the past 15 years Thousands of volunteers have
put their mark on the vision of seeing this project completed.
Two hundred and forty-five Media Patrons
(TV, radio, print, billboard) from across Canada
have donated $5.7 million in advertising.
Twenty-six construction companies have committed $4.3 million
to help build METRONOME.

What started out as an idea to
celebrate the Canadian Music Industry
is so close to taking physical form.
Massive support with a short personal note
from you will make the difference.

Idea plus action ='s completion.

All the major work has been done.
Your part, Your action is to let a few
government officials know that you are
aware of the project, you have a name,
where you're from and as an Atlantic Canada
music lover and supporter you would
like to see this Incredible project
get the start up grant it deserves.

As Canadians we are all in this together.
I'm sure there are other groups asking for support
in their communities as well.
We all have a stake in this but Hank Snow
is not going to be competing with Randy Bachman.
Neil Young will not be butting in on our space.
They have their own floor.
That's the exciting part.
There will be a complete floor of the building
just for Atlantic Canada music.
Other regions of Canada will have their own floors.
I'm sure you get the picture by now.

THIS IS WHAT I DID

that I added at the bottom of  their two paragraphs,
as well as putting my name and address at the bottom.

It is best that you make up your own..no matter how short or long
This was my note.

This project is long overdue.
The support and desire to complete Metronome
has always been strong. It is a self supporting system
when completed and has only been side tracked
by insufficient start up funding.
As a musician who worked in Toronto in the 60's
70's 80's and 90's I can only say
Toronto deserves this unbelievably worthwhile
Icon of Canadian Music.
Lets create this vision of Hope for the future
by celebrating the music of great Canadian artists,
especially those from our region "Atlantic Canada"
who continue to influence and encourage great music
around the world.
Metronome is one of a kind, the way
Hank Snow, Anne Murray, Glen Gould, Shania Twain,
Gordon Lightfoot, Oscar Peterson, Moe Kauffman, Denny Doherty
Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Figgy Duff, The Guess Who, Ian and Sylvia,
Wilf Carter, Stan Rogers, Gene Maclellan, David Clayton Thomas,
Ian Thomas, Rita MacNeil, Natalie MacMaster, Matt Minglewood,
Stompin Tom Connors, Al Tuck, Ryan Cook, Dutchy Mason
Ron Hynes, John Allen Cameron, John Campbelljohn, Paupers, Edward Bear,
Magic Circus, Buddy and The Boys, Sam Moon and Celine Dion are.
Lets put the icing on Canada's Musical Heritage cake.
           Lets help build Metronome Canada.
A Living Monument to Canadian Music
